Job Description:
The Information Security Analyst II implements, communicates, monitors, and maintains the firm's information security policies and procedures. Will have Information Security or Security Operations experience, the ability to work with security teams and Ernst & Young Global's (EYG's) security solutions, and experience working in an operational team environment. Responsibilities Under limited supervision, review the development, testing, and implementation of security plans, products, and control techniques Provide the highest level of technical expertise and support to clients, management and staff members in risk assessments and the implementation of appropriate data security procedures and products. Provide assistance and training to information security staff members. Monitor, evaluate, and maintain systems and procedures to protect data systems from unauthorized users Identify and determine causes of security violations and recommend corrective actions to ensure data security and communicate them to appropriate management Implement changes to procedures and systems to enhance data systems security Participate in communicating security procedures to users. Monitor and evaluate the Global IDS system in order to protect the data systems from unauthorized users and malware. Identify and Determine Events of Interest. Provide a higher level of technical expertise and support in threat and risk assessments to Level I Staff. REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: To qualify, candidates must have: a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience approximately 4-6 years of experience in the security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications, and network protocols working knowledge of IP addressing and TCP/IP networking knowledge of information security principles experience with Unix, Cisco and Windows Administration basic knowledge of information security types of attacks basic knowledge of system vulnerabilities to attacks has accomplished a minimum of 1 year in NOC or SOC a plus understanding of IT security infrastructures experience with CheckPoint Firewalls, Snort, and ISS security technologies a plus strong judgment and analytical ability excellent interpersonal, communication, consultative, organizational, teamwork and time management skills the ability to work and team effectively with clients, management, staff members, vendors, and consultants
