JOB LOCATION: BALTIMORE, MD

Legg Mason's Technology Services Department has a current opening for an IT Regulatory Advisor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
' Assist in coordination of Sarbanes-Oxley 404 and other it compliance efforts on behalf of the corporate technology security team.
' Document and update security processes and controls relating to Legg Mason's IT systems and infrastructure.
' Lead documentation, testing, and development of remediation plans for identified control deficiencies.
' Assist in reviewing proposed changes in the technology environment for compliance with Sox 404 and other legal and/or regulatory requirements.
' Review security assessment findings to gauge overall risks, severity, and appropriate corrective measures in support of applicable Sox 404 it and other legal and regulatory requirements as needed.
' Assist in evaluating new technology and security products for Sox 404 relevancy, compliance with Legg Mason's overall security strategy and in support of new business requirements and initiatives.
' Travel to Legg Mason offices throughout the United States and to Legg Mason offices at international locations required.
' Promote appropriate security best practices and fundamentals in support of compliance with Sox 404 and other legal and regulatory requirements as needed.
' Team with technology groups within corporate technology to raise overall awareness of Sox 404 audit requirements and other legal and regulatory requirements as needed.
' Serve as a security subject matter expert during audit activities.
' Assist with security requirements definition.
' Provide on-going audit support.
' Support trends analysis efforts.
' Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:
' Bachelors Degree.
' Candidate should have extensive information systems experience in Microsoft, Sybase, and UNIX.
' The candidate should have strong written and oral communication skills.
' Excellent command of Sarbanes-Oxley 404 it requirements.
' Ability to promote appropriate Sox 404 practices in diverse organizational areas.

SPECIFIC TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
' Candidate should have excellent multi-tasking skills and show strong attention to detail.
' Experience in the following platforms: MS, AIX, Sybase, and DB2.
' Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection, security policy compliance monitoring tools, intrusion prevention technologies, anti-virus, anti-spam, secure remote access, strong authentication technologies, privacy software.
' Knowledge of PeopleSoft and other financial applications.
' CISA, CISSP, or CISM preferred.
