Hyperion Practice Lead - Plano TX

The Hyperion Practice is responsible for the design and implementation of Hyperion products ( Essbase, Planning, HFM) and solutions. The Practice will also be the single authority for design, delivery and implementation of Planning and Forecasting solutions using Hyperion products, enabling world-class, re-usable, value-adding solutions.

Accountabilities
Create Hyperion vision and strategy. Provide direction and strategy for Hyperion Planning implementation. Design and implement Hyperion Centre of Excellence architecture and supporting processes to promote efficient usage of enterprise resources. Provide advanced Hyperion product training and troubleshooting for client.
Be the single global leader for solutions in Hyperion products delivered for all CS businesses in each Regional Operating Unit
Manage the projects to deliver the Hyperion solutions either directly or via a senior project manager. Ensure that the solutions delivered exploits the best of the tools used to meet the requirement of the Centre of Excellence strategy. Responsible for analyzing customer requirements as well as identifying and implementing strategies. Identify recruitment and training requirements to ensure the team and their skills are developed, respected and admired in the Practice. Source and lead a talented and responsive team to implement world class solutions using Hyperion products in the organisation. Manage the development of practice members through effective coaching and mentoring
Institute the tools, plans and documentation via a library or repository that would accelerate:

Consistent, repeatable implementation plans for future projects. Consistent, repeatable reporting and communications. Consistent, repeatable training materials. Implement best industry practices around:

Development processes and standards
Development tools
System landscapes and upgrades
Learning and certification process
Work closely with the Architecture team to drive convergence of future solutions and skills
REQUIREMENTS
Recognised in the industry and an expert in one or more of Hyperion Planning products to include: Minimum of 8 yrs of experience in Hyperion Financial Planning and Analysis processes and Hyperion Planner. At least 5 implementations using Hyperion Planning tools
Experienced with other Hyperion products: Hyperion Essbase, Enterprise, HFM, Strategic Finance and Reports. Project Management skills and proven delivery experience. Consulting skills such as workshop facilitation: will be necessary for the data and process alignment
Strong integration experience with SAP applications and legacy systems. A good understanding of Cadbury Schweppes business model or global models in an FMCG organisation
Reporting/analytics background or significant experience in relevant role. Ability to work with multiple priorities in delivery and project organisations. Experience working in large and distributed teams in multiple geographies
Ability to motivate and inspire a talented team of IT specialists. A collaborative approach including effective conflict management
Excellent communication skills both verbal, written and cross-cultural , very important due to the level of business leadership staffed involved in this area. Influencing, negotiating and relationship management skills. Ability to travel up to 25% of the time (domestic and international) The ability to lead change and to provide direction within a constantly changing and dynamic business. Exposure to Service Oriented Architecture is a plus(SOA). Key Performance Indicators: Success in this role will be measured through a balance of qualitative and quantitative performance measures that are aligned to the appropriate balanced scorecard. These will form part of your annual objectives.

Robust and integrated technical solution delivered on time and on budget. Regression impact of any changes to the productive business fully accounted for such that there is no down time due to changes from a new or existing business unit. Effective leveraging of global and other regional solutions to minimise divergence of the solutions and local development effort. Retention of knowledge and key resources in house. Actively seek to share knowledge and build capability within the team
Alignment to global standards and practices through feedback from global audits.
