Homeland Security Sector Sr. Operations Analyst

(NYSE-BE) is one of the world's largest Management and Technology Consulting companies dedicated to aligning business and systems to empower Global 2000 companies and government organizations.The BearingPoint Law Enforcement and Public Safety Sector is currently searching for a Sr. Operations Analyst.Team members will be responsible for working as a part of a BearingPoint team member working primarily out of our Tysons Corner Headquarters location, with limited travel outside of the DC Metro area.Ideal Candidates will have the following attributes:

Position involves high profile conduct, coordination and analysis in reporting of results to sector leadership.Position will provide critical budget analysis and guidance to our Homeland Security sector. Candidate will support business development and expansion initiatives, and with our sector senior leadership, will have the strong opportunity to move up in the organization using this role as a basis for learning about Federal Financial Management and Budgeting. The day to day role would be directly leading up sector best practices - preparing budget exhibits, collaborating with integrated project teams to build financial models, improving financial and budget management operations, and building financial/budget/cost models and templates using MS Excel.Responsibilities:
Perform complex budget analyses
Prepare and manage annual operating budgets
Knowledge of cost allocation planning and principles
Ability to draft reports and presentations
Knowledge and experience in expenditure projections and revenue forecasting.
Complex analysis – analyze billable hours, adjustments, etc…
Forecasting analysis
Presentation skills – ability to put together analysis in a briefing for management to understandRequirements:
At least two years of experience
Ability to work independently
Not afraid to respectively review Sr. Leadership work
Ability to quickly identify errors in a report
Microsoft Office Suite – highly proficient in Excel
Excellent communication and organization skills
Meticulous attention to detail; Proactive
Demonstrated experience in budget development and analysis
US Citizenship required
