Healthcare Informatics Advisor

Direct hire opportunity to work for one of the top five healthcare IT companies in North America.My client develops and supports reliable, easy-to-use software and services of exceptional quality that enable physicians and caregivers to more easily manage the complexities of hospital system healthcare.We are currently recruiting for a Healthcare Informatics Solutions Architect to join a Hospital Systems Solutions Consulting team. A background in development of or systems integration for healthcare information systems is required.
This role will be instrumental in securing new and add-on business primarily for Hospital Systems products with a strong emphasis on CPR. CPR is a comprehensive computer-based patient record system deployed throughout acute care facilities and ambulatory clinics and is often implemented in conjunction with departmental systems for Lab and Radiology. The person in this role will be expected to leverage their experience in information technology in general and healthcare IT in particular to understand unique customer needs, formulate system solutions based on products to address those needs, and establish confidence with customers that products and services from can be trusted and are technically sound and essential for achieving the customer's goals and objectives.Description: Develop collegial relationships with CIO's, CTO's, and Directors of IT among sales prospects and customers. Assess prospect's IT and systems environments. Understand a prospect's corporate mission, goals, and objectives. Identify specific IT system solutions unique for each prospect based on products and a prospect's existing and planned IT and systems environment.Collaborate with Product Development and Quoting Services to configure highly available, high performance solutions specific for each prospect.Identify and document high-level information ownership and flow among a prospect's systems, instruments, and physiological monitors in a solution design sufficient to clearly promote the proposed solution and develop contractual material.Create written technical proposals and educational material for products in the form of PowerPoint presentations, RFP/RFI responses, and white papers.Collaborate with the Sales team consisting of Account Execs, Solutions Consultants, and Sales Support staff to create and deliver customer specific product demos and presentations.Acquire and maintain comprehensive product knowledge for applicable solutions.Provide "voice of the customer" information for Product Management to help inform product roadmap planning.Review and critique new product market requirements documentation.Develop content, workshops, and presentations for employees emphasizing standards and healthcare IT industry trends.All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems required.Minimum of five years of information technology experience in enterprise healthcare business having achieved an expert level.Demonstrated successful commercial development of or deployment and management of at least one major healthcare IT software product for enterprise-class products.Experience in technology adoption and re-engineering, system implementation, and workflow redesign a must.Desire and commitment to maintain a current perspective on emerging trends in the technology supported by the healthcare information market.Demonstrated expertise in interacting with all organizational levels.Ability to exercise sound judgment, be self-motivating, and execute decisions.Strong communication, listening, and negotiation skills.Excellent knowledge of software systems design and implementation.Proven experience in clinical applications, architecture, storage, databases, and data flow.Strong analytical capabilities for identifying and resolving engineering tradeoffs to achieve highly functional and manageable systems solutions.Detailed knowledge of the healthcare IT market.Strong, working knowledge of Healthcare IT standards in the U.S. and Canada and familiarity with HIT standards in the UK.Proven expertise in negotiating mutually agreeable outcomes.
