Health IT Project Manager

The Enterprise Project Manager role is an great opportunity for driven PMP who is seeking a challenging position that operates in the large deal space.
Based remotely, this key player will utilize a proven PMP processes to collectively manage and guide specified enterprise IT informatics installations at key healthcare organization sites. Directly responsible for managing medium to high complexity implementation projects (10,000+ hours), which may encompass multiple engagements at a single client or multiple product implementation at many clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:1. Manages resources on individual projects, with responsibility for their professional performance.2. Successfully serve and guide key client relationships, client expectations, and project scope.3. Works with Sales and Implementation Services to define Statements of Work, labor estimates, and project schedules.4. Prepare weekly project metrics and create executive briefings for all projects for which he/she has responsibility.5. Identify client issues with Project Managers and Resource Managers; escalate to Manager, PMO as necessary.6. Prepare resource allocation requests.7. Provide thought leadership for PMO process evolution.8. Prepare project plans.9. Prepare revenue projections for projects for which he/she has responsibility to Bench Managers and Resource Managers.10. Project manage implementations and take ownership for success and client satisfaction.11. Assure client satisfaction at projects for which he/she has responsibility.


Requirements:

Expectations:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, healthcare, software development, or related field or comparable work experience. MBA is a plus!
Experience:7+ years managing IT projects of increasing size and complexity (ideally healthcare informatics).
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
Knowledge of Hospital Operations, Clinical Systems and work flows a plus.
Prior top 10 IT Vendor experience with Enterprise product installs.

Must be able to travel up to 50%
