Our Health Plan Practice is working the leaders in the managed care/plans organizations who are dealing with the challenges of increasing health care costs, stronger consumer demands, and constantly competitive treats. Our consultants are working on health plan strategy and strategic planning in the health insurance products area that involves the development, design and implementation of product based solutions. As the industry continues to evolve, we are working with the leading organizations in this dynamic market to drive innovative approaches and solutions across the value chain of sales and distribution channels; pricing and risk management; care decision support; customer care; medical management; network management; claims management and membership accounting.
A Manager with experience in consulting will manage
and deliver large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business solutions and technology solutions for large health care providers including major medical institutions, academic medical centers, and integrated health care systems. The manager level job description includes providing service excellence by identifying key client business issues, determining client needs by supplementing the standard assessment techniques and tools with innovative approaches, evaluating and validating analysis and developing recommendations for the client in context of the overall engagement. Implements and oversees quality of deliverables and manages the team effectively to ensure exceptional performance and manages day-to-day client relationships. Managers participate in the development and presentation of proposals for business development activities. Managers manage small engagements or components of large, complex engagements.
As a Manager with a Medical Management focus, you
will work with executives and care management functional areas to conduct assessments quantitative analysis on the SG&A and medical cost impact of programs, conducting market assessments and gap analysis relative to best practices, develop medical management strategy. Will lead and participate in the detailed design of these programs that include work flow, decision trees, and intervention scripts and lead the implementation of the completed solution. Will also develop the appropriate evaluation criteria that includes the medical cost impact or ROI, clinical and quality outcomes and member satisfaction.
Qualified candidates will possess an advanced degree in Business or a related medical or clinical degree with 7 or more years of experience and prior consulting experience is preferred. Candidates must have solid project management skills. Experience must include business case and strategic development in support of health plan's overall medical management vision. Must have fundamental knowledge of
system business requirements related to health plan functions and programs, knowledge of medical management vendor capabilities. A good understanding of general functionality of utilization management, care management systems, predictive modeling, data warehouse solutions and disease management are required. All candidates must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
