Geologist / Hydrogeologist / Environmental Scientist

Responsibilities include:
- Conduct field investigations including, but not limited to groundwater sampling, air sampling, and soil sampling

- Construction oversight including but not limited to UST removals, drywell cleaning and sampling, soil excavation work, remedial system construction, and drilling

- Drilling/Geoprobe oversight, the ability to oversee well installations, and conduct soil classification

- Operation and maintenance of remediation systems

- Familiarity with environmental lab data

- Working knowledge of environmental sampling equipment as well as the ability to maintain the equipment

- Familiarity with applicable regulations (NYSDEC, Nassau/Suffolk County)

- Writing field sampling work plans and bid documents as well as correspondence with regulatory agencies

- Computer proficiency in Word and Excel with the ability to input environmental data into spreadsheets and format tables for letters and reports

- Capacity to be a team player with a willingness to work on various engineering projects

- Working knowledge of ARC view GIS software a plus

- OSHA 40 hr training a plus
REQUIREMENTS
Seeking individual with 0 to 2 years experience

BS degree in Geology/Hydrogeology/Environmental Science a must

Ability to think on your feet and be creative

Working knowledge of state and local environmental regulations
