Job Summary. What we're looking for.
MarketSphere Consulting is looking for candidates seeking to escape the Big Four (Deloitte, PWC, KPMG, and Ernst & Young) without sacrificing exciting projects, great clients, and strong colleagues.

At this time, MarketSphere is actively recruiting individuals with talent in the fields of finance and accounting to join our Financial Solutions team. The candidate will assume a project-based role participating in engagements in the finance and accounting and information technology arenas. Typical projects will include process assessment and redesign, implementation of strategic finance and reporting applications, close and consolidation optimization, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act remediation. These projects will occur in a breadth of clients from middle-market to Fortune 500 corporations across industries.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the following areas:

• Accounting and finance functional knowledge:
oReporting and analysis
oBudgeting, planning and forecasting
oOrder to Cash and Purchase to Pay
oGeneral Ledger, Close and Consolidation
• Sarbanes-Oxley documentation and assessment
• Experience with an accounting or reporting application/module (such as Hyperion, Cognos, Oracle) is preferred,
• Demonstrated effective communication skills (both oral and written)
• Solid PC skills proficiency including Excel, Access and PowerPoint
• Two or more years of finance experience preferred

The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, information systems, or accounting.

REQUIREMENTS
Essential Functions:
• Previous experience with one or more large consulting firms a plus
• Demonstrated process design and improvement experience
• Meet professional practice standards
• Support client engagements and/or project leaders
• Contribute to overall engagement performance
• Support proposal and business development efforts including proposal development, performing market research, analysis, and compilation
• Demonstrate a commitment to acquiring new capabilities

• Adeptly balance work/life responsibilities
• Assume other duties as assigned by management team
