Reporting to the Director of Field Recruitment, the Field Recruiter is responsible for recruiting qualified students for Walden University's regionally accredited online Master of Science in Education and online Doctor of Education degree programs. The Field Recruiter is responsible for implementing all of the recruitment efforts for K-12 educators and administrators within a specified territory, and will support the overall strategic plan for Walden's graduate enrollment nationally.


The successful candidate will have a background in graduate or adult student recruitment, as well as a thorough and first-hand understanding of the professional development and advanced graduate needs of K-12 educators and administrators. The Field Recruiter will be the local representative for Walden University, and as such must have truly exceptional presentation, communication and organizational skills, as well as an obvious and infectious passion for the professional development of K-12 educators and the value of online higher education.


Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct 10-15 onsite enrollment activities per month, including, but not limited to, information sessions, school visits, and in-service programs.Publicize and market Walden University within a specific territory by attending local, regional and national K-12 conferences and events, and participating in relevant K-12 oriented activities in local communities.Understand and present Walden University M.S. and Ed.D. offerings to K-12 educators.With support from the K-12 Enrollment and Marketing teams, coordinate invitations, room setup, registrations, and materials for each session.Cooperate with other field staff, as well as Business Development Directors, Regional Sales Managers and others to plan appropriate and strategic territory recruitment efforts.Build relationships with current students as well as alumni to identify new group potential and new opportunities to present the Walden programs.Maintain current and thorough knowledge of all K-12 focused degree programs, and the regulatory, operational and pedagogical complexities of the local K-12 community.Assist in other field-based efforts on behalf of Walden University as required.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Education strongly preferred.Must have 2-5 years experience in K-12 education, preferably within the assigned territory.Demonstrated success selling into schools, districts and other educational agencies is highly desirable.Must have truly exceptional presentation skills, and must be capable of delivering persuasive and sales-oriented presentations to both small and large groups of educators.Must be extremely well-organized and attentive to detail.The successful candidate will work well under pressure and will be eager to succeed in a competitive, results-oriented environment.Significant local travel is required, and may involve some overnight stays.Ability to work independently and to self-direct his/her daily activities is essential.Strong written and verbal communication skills are important, as is facility with technology and mediated communication.
