Facilities Assessment Consultant, Boston, MA

Due to new business growth, we are seeking motivated candidates for the position of Facilities Assessment Consultant. We are seeking a minimum of 7-10 years mechanical or electrical systems experience, with crossover experience between the two disciplines highly preferred. The ideal candidate will lead the mechanical and electrical focus of the Strategic Facility Planning Services team in the development of major capital projects for Higher Education, K-12 and Healthcare clients and coordinate strategic planning and project related services on recurring minor project assignments.





Reporting to the Director of Strategic and Technical Services, this position will maintain responsibility for developing the overall direction of strategic facility planning initiatives at assigned accounts across a growing client base in Boston and in greater New England. Additionally, this position will partner closely with members of the capital project and facility planning teams across several client organizations.

Education and Related Knowledge

*Formal education in either mechanical systems with significant experience in electrical systems or formal education in either electrical systems with significant experience in mechanical systems is required

*Working knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction practices, including NEC and fire alarm codes

*Experience inspecting electrical systems and making recommendations to capital improvements

*Comprehensive knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office products is mandatory

*Extensive knowledge of project financial monitoring/tracking/reporting



Work Experience

We desire a minimum of seven years of experience with the following:

*Working with electrical equipment over 600 volts highly preferred

*Electrical design/build experience

*Preparation of comprehensive project budgets

*Professional consultant contract administration

*Design or construction oversight responsibilities

*Coordination of project close-out activities

*Facility inspection assessment

*Leading, coordinating, reporting on construction projects

*Administration of quality control, maintenance of design & construction schedules

*P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience is highly desirable
