Support the Navy Acquisition Program Office for the Submarine Rescue Diving & Recompression System (SRDRS). Duties include researching and preparing technical correspondence, resolving technical issues, determining budget and schedule constraints, coordinating document reviews, mediating technical meetings, and providing recommendations to the Navy Design and Program Managers. position will require daily interface with NAVSEA personnel, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize workload independently.Specific Skills: This position requires a BS in Engineering and 4-6 years of experience. Skills necessary for success include: Successful candidate will have 4-6 years of experience working on an engineering project; preferably in a design and/or government acquisition program. Analytical presentation and problem-solving skills; the ability to develop consensus; flexibility to adapt to changing customer priorities and tasking; ability to operate independently; and the ability to establish a solid working relationship with customers, technical staff, managers, and peers.Desired Skills: Desired candidate has a strong knowledge of manned submersible (or submarine) fluid and electrical systems and understanding of their design and fabrication standards. 2 years of experience with the NAVSEA, a Ship Yard, or the Navy is highly desirable. BS in engineering or demonstrated technical experience in mechanical, fluid and electrical systems will help the candidate be successful.The position noted above requires access to classified information; applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. This position requires a secret level clearance. US citizenship required.
