Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. Perot Systems is currently looking for a Electronic Healthcare Record (EHR) Specialist to join our team in Washington, D.C..Job Responsibilities:
These positions will initially support the Allscripts EHR application for the new Perot Systems' client in Washington DC and/or Huntington, West Virginia, then may become part of a leveraged team supporting multiple clients. Support will begin with the local version of Allscripts installed at the client site.Responsibilities will include assisting with the implementation and rollout of the product, configuring the application for best practice workflows yet including some client specific customization, user and parameter set ups. Ongoing the specialist will provide required enhancement, upgrade and reporting support needs, and ensure application configuration is optimal for the client to promote physician utilization and access to patient data as needed.Required Skills:

Min of 3-5 years of Allscripts Touchworks EHR application support

Strong working knowledge of all modules (e.g. Base, Rx+, Dictate, Scan, Result, Order, Note, Document, Charge, Form)

Work experience in a large physician practice to gain a full understanding of front and back office utilization of the EHR, as well as how clinicians utilize the EHRs, so optimal application configuration can be ensured

Working knowledge of Microsoft PC applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access)

Basic knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-9-CM coding

Application and interface support experienceDesired Skills:

Support of Allscripts EHR at a large academic medical center

Strong organization and time management skills

Implementation and support of the EHR modules: Base, Rx+, Scan, Forms, Note, Document, Charge, Result, Order, Dictate
