ELECTRICAL ENGINEER CONSULTANT – MRO (5233)

Due to our continued growth and success we are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer Consultant-MRO Expert for our Tinley Park, IL location. This newly created position will act as an Electrical MRO Expert within our Corporate R&D

PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES
•Conduct detailed research of electrical MRO technologies and applications. Identify product opportunities.
•Develop preliminary business justifications for new products and preliminary technical specifications
•Conceptualize and document innovative solutions, and demonstrate technical feasibility via proof-of-concept models, often working closely as part of a team with technical personnel from Corp R&D and other Panduit divisions
•Work with marketing, business development, and other functional groups in a consulting role to help develop complementary products and supporting collateral
•Participate in standards and best practices development for products in the MRO market
•Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED SKILLS
•BS Engineering degree; MSME preferred.
•Minimum 5 years experience in design engineering, application engineering, sales engineering panels, or engineering management in MRO or MEP firms.
•Knowledge of control panel design and implementation, harsh environment applications (e.g. oil and gas; heavy manufacturing), and high technology applications (e.g. pharmaceutical manufacturing), etc.
•Familiarity with applicable NEC, NFPA, ANSI/ISA and UL codes/standards governing electrical control panels and other products used in MRO industries
•Understanding of industrial networking technologies (i.e. fieldbus) commonly used
•ISA (Instrumentation, Systems and Automation Society) Certification a plus

PYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
•Ability to transmit, retrieves, and input data on a personal computer up to six hours per day.
•Rare lifting up to 30 pounds
•Drive own car to other Panduit facilities or other local sites
•Travel via domestic or international airline
