Shft: DaysJob Description:Use principles from the theories of nursing and other clinical disciplines, adult learning, organization development, systems, change, and quality management in educational processes. Use a process of needs assessment, education planning and design, program implementation, and evaluation to develop comprehensive clinical education/staff development. Use systematic approaches to assess, develop and monitor the competence of healthcare providers. Integrate research findings of the disciplines of nursing, other clinical disciplines, health care, adult education, organization development, and quality management into the educational process. Maintain the clinical education/staff development program within the context of the Mission, Vision and Values of Alegent Health. Develop, maintain and monitor educational programs in compliance with Alegent Health accreditation standards and policy. Develop a quality management strategy to continuously improve the clinical education/ staff development program.Experience: Position requires a Registered Nurse or other licensed health care professional and three years of recent experience in a clinical, educational or human resource setting. Knowledge of and previous experience in complex health care systems preferred. Leadership and/or education experience, which demonstrates progressive responsibility in the planning, development, and evaluation of adult education programs, preferred.Education/Licensure
Education: A minimum of a bachelor¿s degree in a health profession, education or human resources required. Masters degree preferred.Licensure:
Must have a Current Registered Nurse License in Nebraska or Iowa, Nebraska and Iowa are compact states, so license must be held in the state of your residence.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to demonstrate strong knowledge of educational program development in clinical settings and complex health care environments with the application of adult learning theory. Must posses excellent presentation skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; good project planning and project management skills; good leadership skills. Must demonstrate personal traits of a high level of motivation; customer focus; team orientation; professionalism; trust; and place a high value on the customer/consultant relationship treating others with dignity and respect.
