ERWin Data Modeler

Purpose: TEKsystems is seeking an ERWin Data Modeler for a 1 year consulting opportunity with a large client of TEKsystems located in downtown Chicago.

SCOPE
Working for the IT Manager of NERC Cyber Security, the Data Modeler will be responsible for ensuring the proper data analysis requirements are captured, modeled in ERD form and documented to achieve the business objectives of NERC Cyber Security CIP Standards compliance project.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The consultant will engage business and IT representatives in the execution of data modeling and data analysis to create NERC CIP data model and data relationships including:
Designing and producing dimensional data models to support CIP compliance
Developing and capturing appropriate data model metadata
Conducting initial data profiling and data quality investigations, producing appropriate documentation
Participating in user interviews to align business and data relationships
Assisting in source-to-target mapping
Understand source data, validate that source data maps to business rules
Responsible for data integration rule set (merging data from multiple source files)
Writing transformation specifications
Helping determine the selection of which legacy data to use when there are multiple sources
Assisting DBA with implementation of physical data model
Ensuring ETL development meets model?s needs

EXPERIENCE
A thorough working knowledge of ERWin Data Modeler is required
3-5 Years Data modeling, and Data Analysis, data warehouse concepts, including data transformation
Proficient in ERWin3-5 Years using relational database technology Proficient in MS Office tool SuiteClassification:ContractCompensation:
