The Division of Economic and Community Outreach (DECO) is currently seeking highly motivated individuals to fill two key positions in RESI, a research and consulting institute of Towson University.
Associate Director / Senior Economist (#CE-188-06) This position will administer and manage group projects and resources, as well as provide economic forecasts, economic commentary and data analysis services. Will develop project proposals including cost estimates resource requirements and timelines; monitor work progress and deliverables; and perform final cost analysis. Will also produce quarterly state and county level forecasts of employment and personal income. Requires Bachelor's degree, five years related experience, quantitative and analytical skills, and thorough knowledge of economic theory and economic conditions and trends.
Economist (#CE-189-06) This position will manage current and future projects on a daily basis; produce quarterly state and county level forecasts of employment and personal income; develop a comprehensive research plan for each new project and guide junior staff in its completion; perform high level quantitative analysis for current and upcoming projects; and collect, store and analyze datasets from a variety of sources.
Requires Bachelor's degree, three years related experience, quantitative skills, and knowledge of basic economic theory.
