Director of Development

GLIMMERGLASS OPERA
The preeminent opera festival that presents 40+ performances of four operas each July and August in Cooperstown, NY, seeks the following positions:

Director of Development: The Director of Development is a key member of the senior management team and reports directly to the General & Artistic Director. This position is responsible for creating and implementing the organization's fundraising strategy, raising $3.5 million of a $7 million annual budget, and liaising with the Board of Directors. Full-time position that may be based in NYC or Cooperstown, NY, with the summer spent in Cooperstown. Applicants should have a minimum of three year's relevant experience.

Director of Artistic Operations:
The Director of Artistic Operations reports directly to the General & Artistic Director and is a full-time position based in Cooperstown. As a key member of the artistic team, he/she is intimately involved with all the artistic & administrative aspects of producing opera. Responsibilities include contract negotiations for all artists, creating the intricate rehearsal schedule for the season's productions, overseeing the company's acclaimed Young American Artists Program, and other numerous artistic initiatives throughout the year.
