This individual within our Microsoft Practice will be a highly knowledgeable technical professional with the ability to craft solutions, present to customers and help close large Microsoft deals in enterprise clients. This individual will help build and grow our local Microsoft service offering Practice in the above 6 areas through personal leadership working with customers and the Sogeti Sales Teams and demonstration of superior technical knowledge and solution crafting skills. As the local Director – Microsoft Practice, this individual would be responsible for developing, packaging and support selling the technical service offerings for Sogeti.Day to Day activities include: Managing pipeline, delivery oversight on projects, selling and closing critical projects, packaging service offerings, education to field sales personnel. The Director will also be point of contact for helping to coordinate resources to support client development, presales, post sales and client engagements.This individual must deliver the highest information technology consulting capabilities and consistent decision making abilities at the executive management level and must be capable of clearly communicating ideas, management principles, methodologies, IT strategy and business strategy on a day-to-day basis. Also, working closely with other Sogeti professionals and client management to chart a path forward to satisfy the growth and strategy needs for our client organizations, they routinely read and educate themselves on all of the latest trends in IT and consulting on a global basis.Directors must be focused on client relationships both professional and personal at the executive level. They also have developed a strong consultative relationship with client executive management by achieving recognized competency within a sector, business area, or technology. Directors should be the role model of all other consultants.It is common for a Director to be consulting at two or more client sites at one time and working closely with the account management/sales team to identify and close opportunities. As such, they are often intimately involved in all aspects of sales pursuit activities and are usually the lead when the opportunity closes. Work experience requirements:
Must have a strong technical understanding of Microsoft software and related products•7-10 + years in an Architect, IT management, Product Development Management or Software Design Management role•An understanding of key industry standards and trends and, in particular, those comprising Microsoft current and future strategy
•Product / Service Development Strategy experience
•Sales / Pre-Sales experience
•Strong public speaking abilities
•Writing and Publishing Technical / Business White Papers
•Deep understanding of Microsoft Products and how they work and effect the broader technical environment of an enterprise-class infrastructure
•Expertise in the domain you are applying for.
Education Requirements:
•MCSE/MCSD/MCSA and/or Technical Certifications in the above-mentioned Microsoft technologies strongly preferred.•Strong communications skills
Performance Expectations:
•Has responsibility and ownership of client relationships that result in sustainable sales goals and revenue targets; acts as a trusted advisor to one or more clients; maintains strong client networks
• Leadership role in Team Buy/Team Sell/Team Deliver sales methodology and sales activities such as: business development, solution development, account planning, market planning, account management which results in tangible sales success with strong contribution margins; has the ability to teach these processes to others
•Has Financial Management responsibilities for client engagement(s)
•Provides thought leadership and acts as an advisor•Active role in the leadership of a their Solutions either nationally; vertical experience and expertise
•Makes others more effective – not just a sole contributor
•Proficient and knowledgeable across the Microsoft stack; experience with various Solution Sets and Industries; capable of taking a lead role in pursuits & delivery in these areas; ability to get self billing without direct interaction of an Account Executive
•Provides leadership to and attends all Practice activities.
•Published manuscripts, articles, white papers; leadership in local professional organizations, guest lecturing, etc.
