Developer (VB.Net & Access)

Participates in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of business applications. Is assigned to project teams within an assigned business unit or corporate department and utilizes various client/server (or main-frame) platforms. Under the leadership and tactical supervision of a project leader, collaborates with company customers, staff, IT colleagues, and other stakeholders to identify user requirements, assess available technologies, and recommend solution options. Is familiar with project management techniques, Standard Development Methodology, and may have project leadership responsibility for small projects, regularly coaches other team members, or plans work for others to meet project deadlines. Assesses objectives for the assigned project phases and recommends technical strategies and tactics to achieve business needs. Applies a broad knowledge of various technical functions to accurately anticipate organizational impacts. Understands the procedures and expected system performance associated with the introduction of new information technologies, while seeking ways to collaborate with other IT members (the Technology/Business Consultant Group, in particular) to facilitate transitions. Shares responsibility with other team members to ensure on-time product delivery, which requires a clear understanding of expectations and capabilities and the ability to act effectively as a team member.
REQUIREMENTS
VB.Net, SQL, ASP.Net, & MS Access Create, maintain, and support distributed applications. Upgrade MS Access applications to VB.Net, SQL, & ASP.net. Departments supported include Sales, Product Marketing, Purchasing, and Sales and Marketing Operations.4 yr college degree from a regionally accredited university, or 2 yrs college completed at a regionally accredited university (48 credit hrs) plus 4 yrs relevant exp., or 8 or more yrs relevant exp.
