Data Analysis Associate - Forensic Advisory Services

We are currently seeking a Data Analysis Associate to join us in our San Francisco or Mountain View office.KPMG ForensicSM professionals assist organizations in their efforts to achieve the highest level of business integrity through the detection, prevention and investigation of fraud and misconduct. Our Forensic professionals strive to not only help our clients discover the facts underlying concerns about fraud and misconduct, but also assist clients in assessing their vulnerabilities to such activities, and in developing controls and programs to address these risks.
Responsibilities:

Use forensic data analysis tools and techniques to help organizations prevent, detect and respond to fraud and misconduct

Perform forensic data analysis to help identify patterns of suspicious activity, outliers, anomalies and other issues that represent fraud risk to an organization

Assist with providing fraud risk management services including design, implementation and evaluation of forensic data analysis methodologies, tools and techniques as part of an organization’s anti-fraud program

Collect information and documentation that may be treated as evidence

Assist the practice with complex data analyses

Work with the client engagement team to summarize, analyze, and prepare analyses, reports and findings in a clear and concise manner
Job Requirements
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Management Science, Management Information Systems, Econometrics, or related curriculum

Experience or educational training in accounting including IS support of accounting functions

Experience with software tools such as SAS, ACL, IDEA or SQLServer (Access, Informix, Oracle or other RDBMS)

Experience in scripting or basic programming in languages such as PERL, Visual Basic, and SQL

Experience with a variety of Business Processes and related datasets

Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Able to work independently and exercise good judgment

Team player with a positive and energetic attitude

Willing to travel
