Creative Consultant / Graphic Designer

The position is located in Northbrook, IL

The purpose of the department is to act as Allstate's internal creative resource for a range of marketing materials, consumer-facing pieces as well as those aimed at internal audiences, and to develop communications that comply with company brand standards.

The scope of this job is to design and develop internal employee communications and external marketing communications. To drive brand consistency across all media based on Allstate brand standards and guidelines. To deliver those communications with operational excellence.

The individual will be responsible for:

1. Graphic design of consumer marketing materials and employee communications that supports the programs, products, and services offered by Allstate agencies and complies with company brand standards.
2. Working with subject-matter experts to ensure that design represents the most effective creative approach, one that supports the underlying business/communication strategy.
3. Ensuring that design is delivered with efficiency and timeliness.
4. Leading and developing a high performing creative staff.
5. Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with marketing managers and internal clients.
6. Handling multiple on-going projects. Must multi-task efficiently and manage resources, scheduling, estimates, and deadlines.
REQUIREMENTS
The skills required are:

1. Advanced - Graphic design skills
2. Advanced - Communication skills
3. Advanced - Relationship management and leadership skills
4. Advanced - Strategic and analytic skills
5. Advanced - Creative judgment skills

Experience Required:
6 plus years of graphic design. Agency or client side experience a must. Insurance or financial services industry experience preferred. Broad range of media.

Computer Proficiency:
Illustrator, Quark, Photoshop, Acrobat, Word

Education:
Masters/MBA - Preferred
Major preference: Bachelor's or Masters degree in graphic design or related discipline
