Business Unit: GE MoneyFunction: LegalResponsibilities: *Counsel for the Risk, Fraud and Decision Sciences Groups
Support for the Risk team includes advising functional risk teams on credit policy and in the development of cross-Americas strategies and product development ;
Support for the Decision Sciences Group includes advising Decision Sciences team on strategy and model development (including account selection/management strategies) and credit bureau reporting requirements
Support on vendor agreements relating to proposed Risk, Fraud and Decision Sciences initiatives~HJ~~HJ~
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: *JD degree and member in good standing of one state bar (CA or NY preferred)
4+ years of legal experience preferably with a national lender, in one or more of the following areas: retail banking or consumer financial services.
Hands on experience in risk fraud prevention strategies, product development, and corresponding regulatory requirements
Strong team player/boundaryless-able to work effectively in a matrix management environment
Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced growth business
Dynamic, positive, proactive-- flexible out-of-the box thinker who can problem solve
Strong judgment and ability to effectively balance business / legal needs
Strong organizational and project management skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience with top tier law firm a plus
