Consultant Implementation Project Manager

We are recruiting a Consultant Implementation Project Manager to join our Information Systems Department.

Summary: Responsible for providing project management oversight primarily to multiple, large and complex projects, typically spanning across multiple divisions, affecting 300 or more buildings, for a significant time period, with potential dollar amount to be $1 million or more. Supervises, mentors, and trains project team members and provides timely feedback for employee performance management.

Essential Functions:



Leads enterprise project teams in the implementation of highly complex clinical, financial or business systems with large critical initiatives. Ensures completion is on time, within budget, and with high customer satisfaction. Provides prompt written and verbal communications regarding project status to management.
Mentors, trains and coaches less experienced staff with new applications and implementation activities. Supervises project team members in interpretation of implementation processes in certain situations, and recommends changes to policies and procedures as agreed by senior staff or manager. Provides timely feedback to manager for employee performance management.
Reviews and approves invoices, expense reports and travel requests in accordance with company policies and procedures. As well as develops, forecasts and tracks project budgets.
Assists in the recruiting, hiring and training of staff.
Conveys and demonstrates expert knowledge of system implementations and project management methodologies. Defines, creates and maintains Implementation department standards
Evaluates complicated system implementation situations offsite, without the presence of manager, and propose/negotiate acceptable outcomes.
Analyze the project quality assessments, as identified by the Divisional leadership and report results to management with suggestions for quality improvement.
Provides management oversight for multiple, large to complex simultaneous projects for the Implementation department using Kindred Implementation best practices as they relate to the PMI standard methodology.
Develops project plans based upon department methodologies and division requirements to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards, with a focus on customer expectations.
Ensures overall project coordination with status reporting, timely escalations and monitors cross functional project team members, such as Developers and Development Analysts, Training Specialists, Data Network Services, Telecom, NT Support, Security, contractual vendors and other project resources.
Functions as the key intermediary to Divisional Leadership for the implementation.
Creates and delivers project review presentations to Divisional leadership and the standard IS internal and executive project review committees.
Tracks and communicates essential project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers.
Solicits feedback from management.

REQUIREMENTS


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:



Working knowledge of industry standard codes and restrictions as they pertain to Systems Infrastructure.
Working knowledge of computer networking, cabling, telecommunications, server operating systems, desktop computing and electrical engineering standards.
Highly analytical and able to understand business objectives.
Exercises the highest degree of project management principles.
Self-motivated with high level guidance as needed.
25% to 50% travel required.
Knowledge of the healthcare industry a plus.



Qualifications: Education



Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. IS Degree preferred. Licenses/Certification
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required. Experience
A minimum of 5 years project management experience required, preferably in IS setting.
A minimum of 3 years implementation experience preferred.
