Consultant – Database Administration

PLA seeks an experienced consultant to help us assist a client in a database administrative role. This technical position will be primarily responsible for assisting in supporting various databases in a legal environment. The position will require support for the accounting and marketing department as well as user needs. The candidate must possess the following specific skill set experience to be considered:

•Implementation and troubleshooting experience in Microsoft SQL database applications. SQL scripting and troubleshooting required.
•Knowledge of Accounting applications and integration is a plus. (Prolaw)
•Document Management experience a plus (Interwoven).
•Microsoft Active Directory administration experience is a plus.
•Citrix experience a plus

Certifications
-Microsoft SQL Server certifications a plus
-Interwoven certifications a plus

The position will also be responsible for the following:
•Responsible for managing and supporting all databases in the environment.
•Responsible for supporting the needs of the accounting and marketing departments.
•Perform daily support for user community’s Prolaw, Accutrac and Interwoven database needs.
•Assist in managing smaller projects or segments of larger projects. Has moderate to heavy contact with middle and senior level executives. Requires proven project management skills.
•Must be able to plan and execute database tasks with minimal disruption to the user environment.

Business Requirements for Position:
•5 years minimum experience in networking and infrastructure technologies
•2 years minimum consulting experience
•Excellent writing and documentation skills
