Consultant-Curriculum Develop

***This is a VIRTUAL POSITION--job can be performed at any VZW Financial Services call call center location.

Responsible for designing and developing new hire, advanced collections skills, and/or Financial Services leadership courseware, curriculum development, program and/or project management, performance consulting and assessment results for Financial Services. Coordinates the development and production of training materials for all levels of management.
Curriculum Development - 50%
o Responsible for development of the training program from conception to implementation.
o Assesses needs to determine appropriate response
o Identifies process by which to determine interventions to best meet the needs of specific situations,
and develop training programs and educational tools address identified needs.
o
Ensures quality and accuracy of tools and processes by conducting end-user testing and
validation.
o Researches outside training resources. May partner with outside vendors to develop new training
programs.
Program Management or Project Management - 25%
o Responsible for managing company-wide training programs. Program management duties include
owning a specific training program from start to implementation, project planning, curriculum
development, training delivery/train the trainer and measuring results pre/post implementation.

Assessment Evaluations /Performance Consulting - 25%
o Responsible for performance consulting (including needs assessments) with internal clients to
determine appropriate solutions.
o Evaluates and assesses the effectiveness of key training initiatives. Provide results and feedback to
upper management and other internal customers.
o Assists with ROI and impact to the business analysis to ensure the intended outcome of the program
was achieved.

Experience
o Development or in functional group for which training is provided/developed.
o Facilitation/training experience and knowledge of adult learning theory and assessment necessary.
o Excellent verbal and written skills are required. The ability to provide sound performance consulting
and assist in peer coaching of training team is necessary. Strong time management, organizational
skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment is essential.
o Successful project management experience with multiple projects containing varying time frames.
o Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to and manage changing environments.
o Strong time management and organizational skills.
o Proficiency in Windows 90 and higher; Microsoft Office including but not limited to Word, Excel,
Outlook and PowerPoint. Experience with Macromedia and development of programs such as
FLASH, Breeze, or RoboDemo/Captivate a plus.
o Ability to work independently while contributing to the overall success of the team.
o Must be able to work flexible hours and required by the needs of the business. Some overnight and
weekend/evening travel is also required.
Job Requirements
o Education: Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organization Development,
Education, Business Administration, related field or equivalent work experience.
o Certifications: Professional training certifications (e.g. GIFTed Trainer , FAST and/or CTT ) and active
participation in professional training organizations (e.g. ASTD) preferred.

Proven project management experience

2 years proven experience developing and delivering training curricula utilizing performance improvement and instructional design strategies
