As a Consultant, Applications Development, you will provide sophisticated technical and/or project direction for complex multi-technology, cross-functional projects. You will work closely with clients to identify long-term functional requirements, and will develop technical implementation plans. You will provide input into long-term IT strategy, and will develop action plans for meeting IT objectives and business unit solutions. You will be responsible for managing the execution of project plans, and will provide technical direction to the IS team. You will spearhead IS solution architecture process, providing guidance to junior team members, and will develop solutions to complex problems. You will initiate creative methods and collaborative problem solving. You will participate in the development of application solutions to beet GSSE objectives, including the development of S3 components.
This position requires a BA/BA or MS/MA with a minimum of 10 years experience, or a Ph.D. with a minimum of 4 years experience. Must have advanced project management experience with initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing large or cross-functional projects. Advanced technical experience with web development, and advanced skills in Oracle, SQL, PL SQL obtained via formal training and a minimum of 3 years job experience. Must have advanced business and technical skills to determine project requirements, layout milestones, and estimate work (obtained via formal training and job experience of at least 3 years). Must have advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases (obtained via formal training and job experience of at least 3 years). Strong written and verbal communication skills to facilitate discussion and the documentation of user requirements are required.
