Compensation Analyst

Responsibilities include:
•Job title and job code inventory - Manages the HRIS job code library by assigning, updating and editing the available job code and salary grades in Ceridian payroll system
•Job descriptions - Responsible for the job description process by working with managers on new and updated descriptions
•Job analysis and market pricing using salary surveys - Administers all salary survey participation and uses survey data to evaluate and make recommendations on salary grades, salaries and titles, ensuring jobs have both internal equity and are competitive to the external market
•Performance management - Prepares packages and sends out performance evaluations 6 weeks ahead of review date to managers throughout the company. Compiles and communicates the monthly late review report for management.
•Severance Letters - As part of the HR policy in severance programs they are responsible for the drafting mailing and ensuring payment for all severance packages. Routinely works with the legal department, HR VP, HR Directors and ER managers to accurately administer the program
•HRIS Reports - Provides support to HR Directors and ER Managers on information requests that require the HRIS Ceridian data base using ACCESS programming when needed
•Incentives - Prepares materials necessary for presentations regarding compensation initiatives and compiles electronic files as needed to manage the payment of incentive calculations.
•HRIS Support - Maintains limited HRIS files, such as alternate pay rates the job code system which ensures accuracy within the job codes.
•Budgeting Process - Supports the HR Department by consolidating for the VP of HR all HR annual department budgets for past, current and future fiscal years.
REQUIREMENTS
•BA or BS degree in Business, Human Resources, Accounting or related field
•Must have programming and financial analysis skills
•3 to 5 years HR experience in compensation department
•Intermediate to excellent skill and proficiency in working with computerized systems; working knowledge of MS Excel, Access and Word. Knowledge of Ceridian System (Payroll/HRIS) a plus.
•Intermediate financial analysis skill in statistics and accounting. Must have ability to successfully perform independent in depth analysis
•Ability to manage compensation issues effectively with all levels of the organization. Must have good interpersonal skills
•Must be experienced in job description writing and position administration.
•Ability to work effectively under tight timelines with frequent interruptions
