Communication Consultant

Will work as part of firmwide internal communication team, developing and implementing communication strategies that support the firm's vision, goals, and objectives.

Key responsibilities:
 Assess needs, develop and implement effective communication strategies for a number of internal clients. Approximately 50% of time dedicated to supporting a group where he/she will develop and execute internal communications strategies within the group and to the firm, including major projects/change initiatives, educational/'tips' communications, and ongoing operational information
 Ensure alignment, integration, consistency, and congruency of internal messaging for internal clients
 Contribute to team planning, best practice research.
Help develop processes, templates, tools, etc. to streamline communication development and delivery.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable interacting with leaders, managers, and project teams to assess communication needs and define communication objectives, audiences, and key messages that support the strategy and help accomplish the overall business objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have exceptional consulting and writing skills and will demonstrate versatility, creativity, and flexibility. He/she will manage multiple priorities and carry a significant writing workload.

Solid understanding of business principles
Strong organization and project management skills
Proven ability to:
Accurately assess clients' situations
Develop creative, targeted, cost-effective communication strategies
Gain sponsorship for desired course of action
Implement /drive communication through the organization using defined flows and channels
A team player; able to effectively collaborate with coworkers and subject matter experts to achieve desired outcomes
Able to balance multiple priorities and work well independently
Knowledge of change management concepts and communication technologies
Cannot be intimidated by technology and ideally has some interest in it
Self-starter with a global mindset, a problem-solving orientation, and the ability to work with technologists / contacts around the globe

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Communication, English, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
5 -7 years experience in corporate or internal communication environment.
