Clinical Analyst

CLINICAL ANALYST

Portage Health (www.portagehealth.org), located in the beautiful upper Peninsula, in Hancock, Michigan, has an opening for a Clinical Analyst. This position reports to the Director of the Information Technology (IT) Department, and is responsible for implementing and supporting various modules of the Meditech system including training, testing, troubleshooting and documentation. Primary emphasis is on the Nursing (NUR, OE, PCI, etc.) applications, but will also support other Clinical (LAB, RAD, PHA, etc.) modules.

Associates degree is required; RN or other clinical background with a Bachelor's Degree desired. Candidate must have general knowledge of clinical software applications such as Nursing, Order Entry, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Radiology, etc., as well as strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving and organizational skills. Three years experience in a healthcare setting and two years Meditech experience is desired. In addition, NPR report writing or MAGIC programming is a plus.
