Client Server Consultant

The Siebel Client/Server Consultant is responsible for the following: analyzes client's business and technical objectives to determine high level client/server application requirements (e.g., addressing cross functional business processes or workflows, re-engineering business processes, creating object oriented business functional models); designs architectural components of the client/server environment (e.g., data marshaling, insulation layers, class libraries); performs high level coding activities (e.g., codes device drivers using C/C++; codes architectural components, codes objects); develops and coordinates the testing process for major application releases and enhancements; researches and recommends products and new technologies for the client/server environment; may act as a formal project leader for development projects; performs other duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications:
Strong understanding of performance criteria and tuning with Websphere Portal and WAS
Experience with development and configuration utilizing web/app servers - Apache, Websphere Application Server (WAS), JRun, ColdFusion, Tomcat
Interface experience from web based front ends to backend systems (e.g. Siebel, Vitria, WBI, etc.)
Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
Telecom Industry experience desirable, but not required

Certificates/ Licenses:
IBM Websphere Portal Certification a plus (but not required)

Bachelors degree in a Technical or related field and 8+ years professional level experience; or 12+ years professional level related Technical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Technical experience
