Client Advisor - Wealth Management Asia Desk North America

Our Corporate Center partners with each business group around the world to ensure that they operate in an entrepreneurial fashion while following the strategic aims of the company.The Asia Desk's core business model provides wealth management solutions to High Net Worth individuals who reside in Asia with a preference to book their assets in the U.S. The team is expanding its Asian client base managed out of San Francisco and/or New York. We are looking for an experienced Client Advisor who will significantly contribute to our growth plan.The position involves systematically building and maintaining prospects in Asia and to convert them into long-term client relationships by offering financial advice with a personal touch. Individual can cover any Asian market, but the preference is Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippines and Thailand. From a product perspective, our preference is to have clients invested in discretionary mandates for profitability reasons but also to free up the Client Advisor from the daily transactional business to allow him/her to focus on growth. Candidate is expected to acquire US $100 Million in Assets in the first 24 months and $25 Million annually thereafter. REQUIREMENTS
Basic Qualifications: 5+ years proven track record of building and maintaining clients in the Private Banking market. Must have and established network of contacts in Asia. Ideally, the candidate has a transferable portfolio of assets under management.
Job requires an entrepreneurial spirit, self-starter mentality.
Fluency in language(s) depend on the market coverage.
Bachelor's degree, (or foreign education equivalent), preferably in Finance or Business.
NASD Series 7 & 66 licences preferred.
