Claims Consultant **Multiple Openings**

We offer a progressive and competitive benefits package. We currently have multiple openings for a Claims Consultant in our Worcester, MA office.

Responsibilities:

Thorough understanding of claims handling process & procedures and appropriate state and federal laws.
Independent ability to gather & review data and make responsible decisions.
Responsible for handling a given caseload while adhering to department time services with quality performance.
Make complex decisions, take on project assignments and manage assigned caseload.
Settle/negotiate claims both orally as well as in person.
Other job related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
Excellent working knowledge of DI insurance, claim process & procedures.
Able to review & understand medical, financial and legal documentation.
Able to translate difficult insurance concepts verbally and in writing to insureds.
Ability to travel frequently to visit claimants and/or their representatives.
Excellent time management, organization and decision making skills.
College degree or equivalent is preferred.
Use of personal computer.
Word/Excel/Access knowledge helpful.
