Childcare Counselor

The Dimondale Adolescent Care Facility is currently seeking a Childcare counselor to assist in direct supervision of adolescent girls 12- 17 years.

We have an immediate need. All applicants will be held in strict confidence.

This position also involves the ability to serve as an adult role model through:
guidance
education

Duties:
Include but not limited to ensuring a safe, clean, healthy environment for the residents. Assist in preparation of meals, and administer positive disclipine and set limits for inappropriate behavior per progammatic policy and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS
Including but not limited too-

Conducting treatment and expectation group.

Assisting the residents in learning respect for themselves and others.

Participate in all in-service training and staff meetings.

Maintaining shift reports.

Assist residents with tools to become productive citizens through independent living skills.
Ability to communicate well with others
Willing to listen, not command
Ability to foster a positive environement.
