The Network Coordinator II serves as an internal knowledge management consultant within Ernst & Young to facilitate the transfer of knowledge to impact sales and service delivery among practice communities of interest. This professional affects organizational change through the development of knowledge management leading practices in the areas of people, process, technology and content, leveraging the intellectual capital of the firm. Responsibilities Manage the continual upgrading of procedures and equipment to maintain currency with technological progress, economic change and business needs. Manage the training and development of staff members to develop their skills and maintain state-of-the-art knowledge in their area of responsibility. Prepare the annual budget and manage expenditures in order to operate within approved budget guidelines. Directly and indirectly supervise staff members in the development, implementation and support of applications to meet the client's business requirements. Recommend the selection and be responsible for the performance management of staff members. Build and maintain effective client/customer knowledge relationships, serving as the central point of contact for knowledge within Ernst & Young specific to various communities of interest. Facilitate networks and people-to-people/people-to-information connections. Support the area sales offices by assisting their ongoing pursuits with knowledge, technology, and training. Align the firm's Center for Business Knowledge (CBK) products and services to the network environment for specific clients or communities of interest. Develop and implement knowledge strategies, plans and processes for the acquisition, storage and use of internal knowledge and thought leadership through networks. Consult with firmwide knowledge managers, maximizing knowledge sharing and utilization. Participate on the Global and National Pursuit Team to develop knowledge deliverables. Develop and deliver presentations on knowledge management to all levels of the organization and external clients. Develop plans and coordinate communication vehicles (i.e. verbal, written, visual, electronic, virtual) among practitioner networks on information and knowledge initiatives. Deploy CBK knowledge tools to field practitioners by providing tools, training and updates on new or enhanced tools. Qualifications: The incumbent of this position must have:Education:
a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, or equivalent work experience MBA strongly preferredExperience:
approximately 8-10 years of experience in management consulting, knowledge management, sales and marketing, or project and/or information systems management demonstrated knowledge and experience in an assigned industry and/or functional area
