Seeking a counseling professional that can provide vocational, personal, social and career development counseling to students. Personal counseling involving individual social development and adjustment counseling. Group support sessions to identify and address specific issues. Ability to confer with parents, social service agencies, and providing referrals to community resources, as appropriate, and identifying and referring intensive-needs students. Career counseling provides ongoing structured, scheduled, and documented counseling sessions. Manage career development through collaboration with students to assist in: setting short- and long-term goals. Identifying personal strengths and career challenges, as well as resolving personal issues affecting career readiness, assessing transitional support needs and developing strategies to meet those needs. Must be flexible, strong communicator, effective multi-tasker who can guide and motivate youth. Bachelor’s degree required, including 15 semester hours of Social Services related instruction from a four-year college or university, and one year of experience in counseling or related field, preferably with youth 16-24.
