McKesson's Enterprise Imaging Group is in need of a seasoned HIM professional with experience in using an Electronic Medical Record system in a hospital environment to act as the go to subject matter expert for our solution development.Product Management: Business Analyst and HIM Subject Matter Expert
RHIA or RHIT is a plus.Position Overview: Acts as the subject matter expert for the Enterprise Imaging Group?s Health Information Management products, leading customer focus groups and discussions to optimize our HIM products and our customers? use of them, interacts with national and state HIM associations on emerging trends and initiatives, monitors regulatory and legislative changes that impact HIM and our HIM solutions. Elicit, analyze, validate, specify, verify, and manage the real needs of our stakeholders. Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow.Responsibilities:
Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed:
i.Position Papers and Backgrounders
ii.Functional requirements (Business Requirements Document)
iii.Use Cases
Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements
Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language.
Lead requirements analysis and verification.
Enter, manipulate, and report on requirements stored in a requirements management tool.
Work with the product manager or project manager to document a project?s scope. Identify ways to assist product management in product planning through requirements development and analysis. Propose new product features and updates.Required Experience:
1.5 + Years experience with Health Information Management in practice or in industry
2.Thorough understanding of McKesson?s Horizon Patient Folder desired
3.5 + Years in a Business Analyst role or similar experience with the above responsibilities a plus.
4.Direct experience with software development life cycle and processes in a team environment including RUP framework, CMM and/or CMMi a plus
5.IT Implementation, Support or Development experience, in either Hospital or Software Development desired. Some experience in a clinical/hospital setting and/or direct experience with Hospital Information Systems are a plus. FDA, JCHAO, HIPAA experience a plus
6.Demonstrates competency in the use of office software (Word, Power Point, Front Page, Visio)
7.Ability to travel up to 25%
8.Experience as a facilitator leading workshops for requirements elicitation.
9.Excellent presentation skills.Education

4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.AHIMACertifications
