DuPont Engineering is in need of Business Services Analysts at our offices in Beaumont, TX; LaPort TX; Washington, WV. A Site Business Administration Leader entering the DuPont Capital Asset Productivity (DuCAP) organization provide operational financial, administrative, and internal controls support to the Facilities, Construction, and Support engineering leader at a manufacturing site for construction and day-to-day operations. Construction can focus on building new facilities, improving or maintaining existing facilities, or address process line turnarounds/shutdowns and complexity can range from simple lawn maintenance to the installation of manufacturing facilities and appurtenances.
This position will support the site engineering organization by providing functional leadership and management for administrative and financial services associated with capital project, project-related non-capital, and site support activities. Primary functional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Oversee the internal controls environment to ensure compliance with financial accountability principles, laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines
Develop appropriate budget tools and the associated expenditure control and analysis for the organization (including financial benchmarking tools to facilitate sound business decisions)
Work with project teams to facilitate the management of project cost
Maintain cost control systems and provide accurate cost reporting and analysis
Provide guidance in the cost estimating process (projects and plant work orders)
Support the development of project- and site-specific procurement plans and monitor the implementation and performance of those plans
Serve as the link between the site and applicable business leadership in determining strategies and business decisions in the areas of purchasing, receiving & stores, accounts payable, security, and information systems
Provide sales & use tax consultation during the development of the project or site budget estimates; oversee the sales & use tax accounting process to ensure appropriate coding and reporting of taxes.
Develop processes and procedures to audit and monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
REQUIREMENTS
BS in Business Administration, Accounting/Finance or Engineering coupled with a minimum of 2 years experience in administration and control of contracts and projects with emphasis on:
site project administration
contracted services management
financial/internal controls (including working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley regulations)
project controls
financial analysisWorking knowledge of legal issues related to contracting, i.e. general condidtions, insurance, liability, co-management, co-employment, etc. Advanced planning and organizational skills as required to establish goals, budget time, set priorities, allocate proper amounts of time to activities for self and others.
Strong computer/information systems skills
Demonstrated ability to learn and apply corporate cost control systems and engineering financial systems
Demonstrated negotiating/influence skills Demonstrated ability to independently identify, analyze, and resolve complex cost issues and recommend solutions
Additional Information:
This positions requires the ability to travel 10-15% (domestic). Future assignments may require relocation.
