Business Objects Report Developer

Description: PMO will be using Business Objects XIR2 as the reporting standard; which
requires all PMO team members to use Business Objects for their reporting
needs. The ideal candidate must have at least 1-2 years of work experience
in Business Objects Web Intelligence/Desktop Intelligence report
development and PL/SQL programming experience. This position requires a
local candidate and is expected to work from 8:30-5:30p and sometimes
longer hours as needed. This resource will be for the PMO team and at
times may be required to help other teams as necessary. Some support needs
will be critical thus the candidate must be able to handle pressure and
work within a changing environment. This role will be a 3-4 month contract
and can be extended. The primary responsibilities for this position
Include:• Serve as the primary Business Objects subject matter expert across
the PMO
• Assist team in delivering complex ad-hoc analysis and reports
• Build, enhance, and deploy new and existing Business Objects
reports as required
• Creation and maintenance of field mapping of Business Objects
Universes to the Oracle Datamart and Project Tools
• Assist users with ad-hoc report construction using the Business
Objects toolset
• Provide day-to-day support for Business Objects questions or
report designs
• Host lunch and learn session for Business Objects Web Intelligence
Job Requirements
Job Requirements:
• BS in Computer Science or other technical discipline
• 1-2 years of experience in designing and developing reports using
Business Objects tools
o Experience should be in the use of Designer, Full-Client/Desktop
Intelligence, and Web Intelligence tools in Business Objects
• Ability to translate business reporting requirements into Business
Objects report design
• 1-2 years of experience in PL/SQL development in order to analyze
query results and the creation queries for complex reporting needs
• Experience in gathering business requirements, and creating
documentation for reporting requirements
• Must possess strong conceptualization, communication, and
architectural technical skillsPreferred Requirements:
• Experience with Business Objects Web Intelligence XIR2
• Knowledge of Visual Basic, PERL
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
• Experience training people to develop reports in Business Objects
• Experience with Caliber, StarTeam, Project Server
