Business Analyst/Outsourcing Document Solutions
Merrill is currently seeking a dynamic Business Analyst to work side-by-side with the sales team in Washington, D.C.
JOB PROFILE
The Business Analyst is the primary marketplace and business resource for process re-engineering recommendations and financial models for Merrill Corporation’s outsourced facilities management services. This position designs document solutions utilizing Merrill’s suite of outsourcing products and services while leading the development of the services-related analytical work, pricing, proposals and contracts. The Business Analyst will champion and provide educational support regarding outsourcing key process re-engineering initiatives.
The primary function of the Business Analyst is centered on site survey/studies which can be broken down into the following elements:
• Pre-survey work including research, review of RFP, understanding of integrated account objectives to include: preparing the survey plan/analysis job book, prepare questionnaire for the services being studied and create focused interview questions, on-site analysis/survey, present study findings and preliminary proposal recommendations, develop pricing within Merrill’s guidelines, assist Sales Reps in the preparation of the proposal, presentation, closing and implementation of onsite services.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Apply outsourcing industry knowledge and expertise to design appropriate solutions using
Merrill products and services as well as products from our marketing partners and affiliates.
• Supports the sales force in leading services-related pre-sale assessment engagements while meeting or exceeding budgeted revenue goals.
• Supports professional services revenue and initiatives.
• Responsible for conducting and presenting demonstrations, proposals, and value propositions.
• Participates in developing account strategies. Analyzes and documents customer requirements. Develops solutions to meet the customer’s document requirements.
• Develops and communicates best practices, team meeting sessions, reference lists, and customer value propositions.
• Engages internal and external resources to problem solve and provide business process engineering for the customer and Merrill.
• Drive customer-centric, applications driven, services-based approach.
• Assist in setting the customers standards for judgment and strategy to position Merrill as best solutions supplier.
• Assist in strategy and development of RFP responses utilizing all of Merrill’s resources.
• Maintains activity standards set with supervisor. Provide monthly reporting and related specifics of new, expansion and renewal business.
• Active participant in proposal creation for relevant products and services. Validates and monitors the proposal process.

REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or accounting.
• 3-5 years business analysis experience.
• Knowledge of facilities management concepts.
• Legal industry knowledge, with records management preferred.
• Strong communication (i.e. written, oral presentation), interpersonal, management, organizational, time management, analytical and quantitative skills.
• Logical sense of numbers with basic finance/accounting principles.
• Ability to respond quickly to changing priorities while juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced MSExcel knowledge to include pivot tables, functions, formulas and macros, MSWord, Oracle a plus.
• Some travel required.
