The IT Business Systems Analyst acts as a liaison between the business and IT technical resources. The BSA has two customers, the business expert and the development team. The BSA must be able to ascertain the true business goal by asking what and why, and translate that into specifications that are clear and understandable to the team that will implement them. The BSA is also responsible for ensuring that the requirements are being met by reviewing output from each stage of the system life cycle, i.e. design, testing, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must possess or demonstrate strong leadership and builds relationship competencies. An ability to think strategically and break down concepts into work projects is critical, in addition to a proven ability to lead small teams and provide mentoring to team members. 3 to 7 years of business systems analyst experience with strong ability to interpret analytical requirements into IT Strategies and tactical needs. Strengths in developing functional requirements, as well as providing options and solutions. Ability to facilitate requirements gathering sessions across multiple groups and document clear, accurate and testable requirements. Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple assignments at the same time. Bachelors degree in Business, Math, Engineering, Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent data analysis experience. Strong problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities. Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Extensive experience in large scale web technology projects involving C#/.NET using SQL/Oracle databases is preferred. Some project experience developing deliverables using formal SDLC CMM practices is a requirement.
