ABOUT THE POSITION:
Black Belt = Team Leader, Technical Problem Solver, Change Agent
- Full-time responsibility for leading improvement projects in coordination with Six Sigma Champion and other improvement project teams.
- Takes on role of facilitator and influencer in coaching/guiding/mentoring team members, Green Belts, and other Black Belts in employing Lean Six Sigma (LSS) methods successfully.
- Manages each project with a hands-on approach by planning, tracking, and mitigating risks to ensure that goals, objectives and metrics are being met.
- Takes on both team and solo improvement projects. Responsible for facilitating, training and leading project team members.
- Focuses on business value with an emphasis on data integrity, simplicity, and clarity in a continuing effort to better meet customer needs.
- Integrates LSS projects, effectively supports improvement leaders, ensures two-way open communication, and advocates LSS throughout the organization.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree (preferably in a technical discipline) and three years of professional level experience in a manufacturing environment.
Black Belt certification preferred, but not required.
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams and interface with senior management in a positive and proactive manner.
Demonstrated personal computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases, for analysis and presentation (experience with Microsoft Office or equivalent required).
MS Access database design and Visual Basic programming skills highly desirable.
Requires skills in the following areas: general written and verbal communication, interpersonal communication, team facilitation, group presentation, mathematical and logical analysis, creative thinking, and project management.
Must be able to handle multiple assignments, perform in diverse cross-functional teams, and meet project deadlines.
