Benefits Communication Specialist

The Benefit Communication Specialist has primary responsibility for the design and delivery of communication materials supporting employee's selection of a new generation of health insurance products. This support includes, but is not limited to, designing and developing employee education and plan communication materials, managing the production and delivery of these materials to support the conversion process and continuous improvement of our proprietary employee education technology platform. Orientation to excellence and clarity a must. There is opportunity for this person to expand their responsibilities to include management of a team of Communication Specialists as the Company expands.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and expand our proprietary Employee Education technology platform
Develop and project manage employee communications
Develop project plans for education and enrollment
Maintain day to day relationships with vendors
Prepare project budgets
Develop familiarity with federal and state benefit regulations
Provide expertise to technology team
Enable smooth execution of defined contribution conversion process

REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:

College degree (Communication, Journalism) or equivalent educational training; or business experience
2-3 years combined benefit and communications experience
Previous experience at a benefit consulting firm is a plus
Knowledge of best practices in HR communications
Experience writing and editing employee communications
Advanced Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe skills
Able to multi-task, prioritize, and be flexible
Detail oriented
Excellent written/verbal communication skills
Organized and efficient
Outstanding interpersonal skills
