This individual will have an opportunity to concentrate efforts on a variety of international tax research, consulting and planning issues. This position involves advising U.S. and foreign multinational companies on the tax implications of their international operations as well as coordinating U. S. tax laws with foreign tax laws to develop an optimal worldwide tax strategy. May also be responsible for providing industry knowledge and technical expertise to clients in one or more industries.
REQUIREMENTS
Education Requirement:
BA, B.S. or comparable degree
U.S. Citizenship
Customs Broker’s License or intent to sit for Customs brokers license within 1 year
Accounting knowledge a plusEssential Requirements:
Job Requirements Must possess knowledge in customs and international trade matters with a basic understanding of customs valuation, classification, special trade programs and compliance/audit requirements. Familiarity with Customs Regulations required. Strong computer background including Word, Excel, Cross (Rulings database) and Internet research experience is required. Knowledge of MS Access a plus. One to two years of industry experience a plus. Industry experience may include US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), customs broker, professional services firm or an import/export department of importing company. Client service orientation, analytical ability, strong team focus, detail orientation, responsiveness, ability to prioritize and self manage, as well as strong written and communication skills are a must.
