Application Manager
Overall responsibility for the successful development, enhancement and implementation of a Customer Information System, which includes electric customer accounting, billing, field order, metering, and remittance processing components. Collaborates with business unit clients to identify requirements, assess impacts to other data and systems,consider available technologies, compare costs and benefits,and recommend solutions. Plans, manages, and monitors activities of all aspects of projects, assuring the satisfaction of customer's business needs and delivery of project on time and within budget. Acts as the primary interface to the client for all aspects of the assigned project and communicates to client using standard reporting formats, milestones, metrics, and reporting. Ensures the currency, quality, and integrity of information and provides customers consistent, timely communication on project status.
Skills
-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field appropriate for assignment.
-Seven to ten years of IT experience with a demonstrated history of managing the development and enhancement of electric utility customer information systems required.
-Five to ten years in a leadership role focused on application delivery.
-Experience in leading projects or teams, demonstrating extraordinary leadership skills, managing people, and developing and monitoring budgets.
-Needs to understand business and technology and how to integrate knowledge of each in developing solutions to meet business needs.
-PMP (Project Management Professional) certification desired.
Demonstrates proactive management style and leadership skills that energize work teams to respond to business needs.
Knows how to leverage business applications for competitive advantage.
Possesses business, analytical, and process skills with a strong technical knowledge in legacy and emerging technologies.
Has ability to deal with multiple reporting relationships, IT and client. Has strong teamwork and interpersonal skills for all management levels.
Has strong communications skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in easily understood business terms.
Has ability to manage multiple projects. Demonstrates competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
Demonstrates ability to foresee organizational impacts and understand the
processes associated with introducing new information technologies.
