Application Engineer

For additional information about MSC.Software's products and services, please visit www.mscsoftware.com.Working either out of our Cincinnati office or a home office elsewhere in Ohio, this individual will provide Technical Support for MSC products (which may include MSC.Nastran, MSC.Patran, MSC.Adams, MSC.Marc, MSC.Dytran, EASY-5, MSC.NASTRAN for Windows, and/or SimDesigner) primarily focused in sales support activities to help achieve the revenue objectives for the region.
Work independently with area customers to support the use of MSC products in order to maintain a high degree of customer satisfaction. Teach public classes. Assist Sales in developing, and managing implementation plans for new MSC customers. Coordinate and execute benchmarks as required. Assist Sales in understanding the technical requirements and technical decision criteria of prospective clients.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, Structural Engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in MSC.Nastran, MSC.Patran, MSC.Adams, MSC.Marc, MSC.Dytran, EASY-5, and/or MSC.Nastran for Windows, and support of CAE related products specializing in the area of application is required. Some experience in Technical Sales support is preferred. Availability to travel (up to 25%). Work to task completion including occasional off-hours and/or weekend hours. Basic to moderate familiarity and knowledge of programming languages (e.g., C++, Fortran, PCL, DMAP, Python, etc.) desirable.
