Among the products developed by BrainLAB are software and hardware components for image-guided surgery and radiotherapy as well as integrated systems for stereotactic radiosurgery. With about 2170 systems installed in more than 65 countries, BrainLAB is among the market leaders in image-guided medical technology and employs today about 740 people worldwide. The company has 15 offices across Europe, Asia, North and South America.

BrainLAB has an immediate opening for a Application Consultant, Trauma based in the United States.

The Application Consultant, Trauma is responsible for the following:
Advance the early market strategy for BrainLAB's products in computer assisted trauma surgery
Work with trauma surgeons in a clinical environment to evaluate product efficacy, human factors, ease of use, and product feedback to development and marketing
Work with sales and marketing to establish relationships
Establish necessary improvements for next product cycle
Provide product training to regional sales force
Provide product training during major conventions/tradeshows
Support pre-sales activities as Application Expert
Coordinate courses/pre-sales training to prospective customers
Coordinate on-site visitations of other customers at key centers
Identify regional Key Events and support Sales as Expert
Support new product launch
Perform market transparency/intelligence of key surgeons and centers
Provide feedback to product management on needed marketing tools
Establish close personal bond to reference surgeons
REQUIREMENTS
Application Consultant / Trauma
Requirements:
IGS or medical device experience preferred
OR experience
Demonstrate capacity for strategic thinking, planning and product development
Strong leadership, organization, interpersonal and communication skills
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to achieve results through working effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Intellectual inquisitiveness with a desire to create practical/innovative solutions
MS Bioengineering or equivalent experience
Knowledge and experience in the neurosurgery market preferred
60-80% travel required
Solid project management and coordination capabilities
Must have strong customer relations proficiency as well as the confidence to deal with people of all levels, including senior management
The ability to work unsupervised with ever changing priorities and demanding deadlines
A commitment to quality, with excellent attention to detail
A pro-active approach in his/her contribution to the organization
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
High comfort level with software and technology
Must be able to work with pre-released products with minimal documentation
Must be able to troubleshoot under pressure
