Must have 5 years of applicable experience with Information Security and PKI systems.Clearance Required: Top SecretProvide ISSM security support to a US Government location in Washington D.C. area and Landover, MD. Primary responsibility for ensuring that the training, awareness and competence requirements defined in the organization’s standard are met.Responsible for training, system compliance, auditing, security plan development, performing self-inspections, and developing and implementing information systems security education and awareness. Provide advice to ISSO, System administrators, operators, and auditors. Interact with government agencies to obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations. Prepare documentation, including Information Security Plans, outlining regulations and establishing information security policy. Investigate information system security violations and prepare reports specifying corrective actions for the current situation and preventative actions to be taken for the future.Education:
BA/BS (4) or equivalent experience. CISSP or CISSM preferred.Preferred Qualifications: Broad technical understanding of IT systems, software, networks, and IT security concepts used to evaluate security performance and integrity of such systems. Some knowledgeable of PKI policies (including FISMA) and practices. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team building skills. Strong writing skills especially in developing policies. Must be able to work without close supervision. Some travel required.Some experience with certification and accreditation (C&A) processes.One year experience with DCID 6/3 and DCID 6/9.One year NISPOM experience.
