Position Summary:
This position provides pharmacy network analysis and management reports for clients and internal Caremark departments related to pharmacy network access.

Position responsibilities include:
1. Perform in-depth analysis consultations with project requesters to define project scope and desired outcomes. Develop strategies/alternatives to complete the project in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner
2. Develop, implement, integrate, and maintain network analysis reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, applicability and timely turnaround of report requests.
3. Develop, program, execute, and maintain computer programs for network analysis and reporting utilizing Caremark analytical tools, such as GeoAccess, Microsoft Access, Excel, and SAS. When suitable, develop production jobs to facilitate other users in gathering needed information.
4. Serve as a contact person for internal customers who support clients
5. The incumbent will:
a) Establish project parameters
b) Identify data elements from existing data sources
c) Identify data elements required from new sources (write system requests when necessary)
d) Create data extracts
e) Analyze and interpret the results
f) Determine applicability and accuracy of the results
g) Write project summary documents with supporting graphics/exhibits where applicable

Qualifications:
REQUIRED: Working knowledge of PC-based computer applications to include MS Office applications (Access, Excel, Word); Ability to present extremely technical information in an easily understood format; Excellent knowledge of project management techniques; Highly-developed verbal, written, and analytical skills; Working knowledge of Caremark workflow and operations.

DESIRED: Proficiency in Microsoft Access and Excel is strongly desired; Working knowledge of mainframe-based computer applications to include; Enterprise Guide; EDW; TSO, and CICS applications. Familiarity with all Caremark adjudication platforms and Caremark pharmacy enrollment and network structure also is highly-desired.

Education:
Required BS degree or equivalent experience

Experience:
Experience One to two years experience in area pertaining to position (e.g., health/drug claims processing, analysis and design as would be gained through a working knowledge of Caremark work flow and operations). Proven ability to tactfully interact with healthcare professionals. Demonstrated knowledge of pharmacy operations and networks. Effective time management and organizational skills are a must. Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of PC-based and mainframe computer applications. PBM experience desired.
