Addictions Specialist

This position is an assistant to the Substance Abuse Manager and is responsible for the clinical management and supervision of a specialized area of the program. Supervises Addictions Counselors assigned and assures that services are provided within the contractual agreement, and state and local regulations.Overall responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Provides assistance to the Substance Abuse Manager
2. Successfully supervises and monitors assigned staff
3. Coordinates the substance abuse treatment of patient's participation in Criminal Justice Initiatives
4. Assures that services meet contract requirements and state and local regulations
5. Successfully screens/evaluates patients
6. Successfully provides individual and group counseling
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree from and accredited college or university in health or human services, education and/or the behavioral sciences required.Must be certified or able to meet certification criteria. Must be proficient in writing and reading and have the ability to communicate with the public and all levels of staff. 4 years experience providing substance abuse treatment required.
